On Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, a wreath laying ceremony was held at Four Freedoms Park in honor of those who have served our nation. A color guard procession, led by a bagpiper, started the ceremony. The renowned singer-songwrited Carole King introduced Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney. Together with a Vietnam War veteran, they layed a wreath at the portriait head of the President Roosevelt.
The Congresswoman delivered her remarks to honor our fallen soldiers and thank our veterans.
Sergeant Platt, who served in the Vietnam War, joined us in honoring our nation's military.
