Kite-making Workshop

In recognition of the United Nations General Assembly and International Peace Day, visitors are invited to design and fly kites selecting stripes, colors, and symbols that represent personal ideas about peace and freedom. Visitors of all ages will discover the fun of constructing and flying their very own kite, guaranteed to soar in the lightest of winds. Kite-making workshops are free and suitable for all ages.  

Storytime Sessions with the Roosevelt Island Branch Library

The Roosevelt Island branch Library will host storytime sessions at 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm.

Letters of Gratitude

Share your messages of gratitude with Deployed Troops, Veterans, New Recruits & First Responders at our special letter writing station in partnership with Operation Gratitude.

All activities are free; registration for kite-making workshops recommended. Kites will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
