Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park offers private guided tours for groups and individuals tailored to suit all interests. Tours are led by Conservancy Guides and are a great way to learn about President Roosevelt and the Four Freedoms, Louis Kahn’s design principles and philosophy, the story behind constructing the memorial, and Roosevelt Island history.

Tours are $20 per person. Seniors (65 and over) and college students are eligible for a discounted rate of $15 per person. We require a minimum of 4 people per private tour or $80 minimum. A $50 deposit is required when the tour is booked.

3. How much walking is involved?

The tour is a walking tour. The Park covers about 4 acres.

Typically, tours are conducted on foot. Visitors needing assistance may explore the Park using our open-air shuttles (subject to availability). Wheelchairs are also available free-of-charge.

Please let us know in advance if you or someone in your party will require accommodation or physical assistance during a tour.

4. How long are tours?

Tours typically last 45 minutes to an hour.
