Corporate & Non-Profit Events and Meetings

From its stunning backdrop to its easy access by public transportation, Four Freedoms Park is an ideal venue for your corporate or non-profit event or meeting. Plan and design your event to meet your organization's needs - we can accommodate intimate gatherings, large gatherings of up to 1,800* people, and seated dinners for up to 450 people.

Weddings

With spectacular views unmatched anywhere else in the city, a grand staircase entry, and two leafy promenades, Four Freedoms Park is the perfect venue for your special day. Say your 'I dos' in this timeless, one-of-a-kind space at the center of New York City. 

The Details

  • Four Freedoms Park can accommodate seated dinners for up to 450 people.
  • A detailed ceremony plan must be submitted and approved by Park management. Rehearsal time may be pre-arranged.

Venue Rental Fees

Rental fees will vary based on the scope and size of your event. Venue rental fees help to support, operate, and maintain Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park, and provide funding for public programming and educational initiatives. A portion of the fee is tax-deductible.

Please note that in addition to the venue rental fee, given our current lack of onsite facilities, there are a number of basic rental requirements that would have to be contracted. These include, but are not limited to, reception and catering tents; restrooms; lighting and generators.


Non-Exclusive Use Ceremonies

If you would like a smaller or less formal wedding reception, consider booking the Park for non-exclusive use during our regular operational hours. All wedding ceremonies require a permit at the Park.  

The Details

  • Ceremonies are only permitted during regular operational hours for a maximum of 3 hours; the Park will remain open to the public during all ceremonies.
  • Four Freedoms Park can accommodate up to 75 guests and can provide chairs, if needed.
  • Ceremonies may take place on the lawn, in the forecourt, on the great stairs, or in the Room.
  • Wedding Photography/Videography is permitted for the duration of permitted time period. No additional AV equipment is permitted (e.g., screens, projectors, etc.)
  • The following is not permitted during a non-exclusive use ceremony:
    • Amplified music
    • Tents and/or structures
    • Food and beverages
    • Alcohol
    • Confetti, open flames (candles), birdseed, rice, glass, or styrofoam; all decorations must be securely fastened, so as not to be released into the air or river.
  • A detailed ceremony plan must be submitted and approved by Park management. Rehearsal time may be pre-arranged.

Parking

The Park does not have a parking lot but limited onsite parking is available for up to 3 cars for the duration of the Ceremony.

Facilities

Please note that there are no back-of-house facilities or bathroom facilities available at the Park.

Venue Rental Fees

The cost of a non-exclusive ceremony permit is $1,250. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required.
