UNDER CONSTRUCTION: THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT FOUR FREEDOMS PARK

We are thrilled to report, construction of the Park has begun. This memorial to President Roosevelt, the greatest president of the 20th century, is being built as designed in 1973 by American architect Louis I. Kahn, on Roosevelt Island in the East River.

More than 200 jobs will be involved in building the Park. The Four Freedoms Park will be a world class destination from the day it opens. Thousands of people will visit each year; millions will see it as they fly over, drive by, and sail around Manhattan Island.

To all who have helped reach this, we thank you. Thanks to you we will build the first memorial to President Roosevelt in his home state, the first Louis Kahn design in New York City and a beautiful public park in the heart of the city.

We need your continued help to deliver this extraordinary civic space to New York and to the world. If you can do more or would like to join in this historic venture for the first time, please visit the website (www.fdrfourfreedomspark.org) for the complete Park story and to add your support.
