Architect John Raymond Haaf worked alongside architect Louis I. Kahn in Kahn’s Philadelphia office on the design of Four Freedoms Park.
Mr. Haaf, then 25 years of age, was a devoted employee and meticulous architect. When the project demanded Mr. Haaf move to New York City after Kahn’s untimely death in 1974, he immediately responded. An instrumental force in completing all of the Park construction drawing and specifications, Mr. Haaf had an incredibly strong eye for design and architectural details. Our hearts go out to his family.
