Roosevelt Island Sketch Walk

2018 RI SW3.jpg

Join Urban Sketchers and American Society of Landscape Architects, New York Chapter for a Sketch Walk around Roosevelt Island. Participants will walk, view landmarks, and sketch. The group will meet at the front of the Roosevelt Island train station, then travel around the Island sketching.

For more information, contact Richard Alomar: richard.alomar.la@gmail.com.

Participants are also encouraged to enter Four Freedoms Park Conservancy's second annual Sketching Contest, "Sketch 4 Freedom"! This year's “Sketch 4 Freedom” contest invites visitors of all skill levels to submit their sketches inspired by this year's theme: celebrating public space. Public spaces have the power to bring friends and neighbors together and connect them to their environment regardless of financial status. Sketch contest participants are encouraged to explore the meaning of public space and the various ways people use public space to enrich their lives. For more details and to enter your sketch, click here.

Participation in this Sketch Walk will have no bearing on the judge's decision for the Sketching Contest winner.
